PROJECT

New British Embassy
Bangkok, Thailand

Foreign & Commonwealth Office, New British Embassy
Bangkok, Thailand

A project which involved the creation of a New British Embassy in a multi-storey occupied building in Bangkok. The works involved a “shell and core” new office fit-out across three floors. This encompassed breaking through floor slabs on two floors to facilitate the installation of a new internal staircase between the floors, together with the installation of new walls and doors and other security systems as well as counters to the reception.

The office occupies part (approximately one third) of floors 11 and 12 and the whole of Floor 12A (Thirteenth Floor). The works included the strip-out of the base building existing finishes and services and included replacement of the fire alarm and modifications to the sprinkler and mechanical systems to suit the new layouts. A full electrical rewire and data infrastructure installation was installed throughout the Embassy space.

The works also included the formation of a separate Embassy Reception within the existing ground floor reception area and the supply and installation of a full office furniture package.

This was a complex, multi-phase project which was undertaken whilst the building was fully occupied by other building tenants, with the absolute minimum disruption, including full replacement services to many of the areas and resulted in a very high-quality finish throughout.
